Ethical Guidelines

The Journal of Computing Innovations and Applications (CIA) is dedicated to maintaining the highest ethical standards in publishing. We value honesty, transparency, and respect, and we strictly adhere to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

Authorship

Authors must meet the following criteria to qualify for authorship:

  • Substantial contributions to the research, data analysis, or manuscript preparation.
  • Approval of the final manuscript version.
  • Accountability for all aspects of the work.

The corresponding author is responsible for managing all publication-related communications and acting on behalf of all co-authors.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest, including financial, professional, or personal relationships that may influence the study or its presentation.

Funding

All funding sources supporting the research should be disclosed to ensure transparency.

Studies Involving Humans or Animals

Studies involving human or animal subjects must comply with institutional and national ethical guidelines. Documentation, such as ethical committee approval and informed consent, must be provided.

Ethical Oversight

Submissions involving hazardous chemicals or processes must include detailed descriptions and appropriate safety documentation.

Data Sharing and Availability

Authors are encouraged to deposit research data in public repositories and include access information to enhance reproducibility.

Corrections and Retractions

The journal will issue corrections for errors identified in published articles. Serious misconduct, such as plagiarism, may result in article retraction.

Complaints and Appeals

Complaints or appeals regarding ethical concerns should be addressed to editor@journalcia.com. The journal follows COPE standards in resolving such issues.

Malpractice and Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism and research misconduct, including fabrication and falsification, are strictly prohibited. All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening, and violations will lead to rejection or retraction.
